Cheat Fest is fun for the whole family! Remember – kids 12 and under experience Cheat Fest for free!
Cheat Fest 2015 offered these activities to kids:
Kid’s Tent: Saturday 12:00-5:00pm
The Nile isn’t the only fameous river to run North. According to Cheat Fest Alum, Jen Short, “The Cheat River is the BEST river to run North!”. Come to the Cheat Fest Kid’s Tent to make your own Egyptian attire and recycled crafts. Create your very own Tie-Dyed Khat (Egyptian Headddress) or Egyptian collar to adorn while participating in the Pharaoh’s Parad! Or, show us your Minecrafty skills by replicating the Egyptian Pyramids! Can’t wait to see you there! The kid’s tent is free and open to everyone.
Woods-Walker 101: Saturday 12:30-1:30pm
Join the Mountain Stewardship and Outdoor Leadership School’s staff to learn basic skills that will equip you to become more observant of your surroundings while in the woods. We will learn to identify animal tracks by size, shape, and stride. We will also learn basic plant and animal identification during a short hike near the festival grounds. We suggest participants bring a journal to take notes.
Pharaoh’s Parade: Saturday 4:45p
